Dear Henry,

I love your story, even the sad parts!

My gooddad and goodmom found me through Coonhound rescue. Someone
found me in Furgina and I was really thrown away-they found me in a
dumpster!  I was veryvery scared for a long time, even in my new home,
but Im happy now. Like you, I made a long trip from the South, which
is why my name is Dixie. Plus I'm little like a Dixiecup-little for a
Coonhound anyway. When Im naughty they call me The Dixonator.

I told all my online dog friends to read your page.

Love,

Dixie the Bluetick Coonhound Speckledog

To the Wiggle Bus crew:

Thank you so much for the wonderful stories.  I laughed, I cried.  Keep up the good work and I hope to read more adventures in the near future.  Special greetings to the wonderful Sheepies  - okay and the terriers, too - from my faithful Sheepie companion Windsor the Wonder Dog.

How cute that last segment was on the wigglebus.  As I was reading the points that Henry had, I couldn't agree with him more, and I scrolled down and saw the picture of Demi (my 4 year old daughter).  That just melted my heart!  She was looking at your traffic light.  LOL...how cute, I just loved it!  I love the whole story!  Keep it comin' girlfriend!

I had a friend tell me about this web site so I went to take a look - and was completely captivated by the adventures of Henry and the Gang.  It is creative, touching and I imagine very easy for kids to relate to.  Really, really nice work!  Good luck on the continuing saga and I look forward to the upcoming chapters.  Thanks to for integrating in the child safety stuff too.  For as big and scary a place as the Internet can be for a child, there's staggeringly little that they can relate to that will guide them safely through it.

Incidentally, two of our three dogs came through Rescue organizations.  : < D

Sadly, our biggest "pawson" in the family, Winston (a 200 pound Mastiff) died of epilepsy before he was six.  In speaking with our vet, he said that Wiinston was most likely the victim of either a puppy mill or unethical breeder (since we don't know his origin), because epilepsy in that breed typically comes from aggressive inbreeding to produce more dogs for sales purposes.  So, I agree - Let's stop these PAWPETRATORS!!!!

Best Regards,  Mark

Wow, you guys are so great. My Mom and I read your pages all the time. She is so funny 'cause her eyes leak when she's reading - then she laughs! Oh, well, uprights. . . . . !

I hope I can go to the Rescue Picnic next year so I can meet all of you and sit in the Wiggle Bus (although I'd rather drive).

GA and Henry are my heroes!

I have totally enjoyed Book 1, from Head to Tail... I know you and I both never knew what turns the WiggleBus would take. I was amazed at how similar some of our trails have been. Over 14 years ago I saw my first sheepie Odie in the Sheepie Clouds shortly after she left me and recently as I was working on my Rosiegirl's famous Impatient Garden at camp I saw those Sheepie Clouds role in over the lake, but she was no where to be found until I was completely done and I happened to lean back and there she was directly above me looking down on me and of course it brought those tears back. Now everytime I see those Sheepie Clouds roll in, I see all those Sheepie Kids romping around in the blue skies. This weekend on the way over to camp it looked like they were all on their backs rolling around and it brought laughs instead of the tears this time.

The Traffic light was terrific, by the way. I was eagerly awaiting it's outcome. It was worth the wait. A great message.

I'm looking forward to the further adventures of the WiggleBus Crew Including Those Terriers! I'm hoping some of that Rescue Dust falls my way again as I am definitely having Sheepie Withdrawal.

Thank you for the Enchanting Tails.......Raggamuffin

I am from Ontario and just love your story.   How about adding a cat to the equation?   Years ago we rescued a black and white cat and she decided she was an OES and would get in with the puppies.   I always did a head count when they came in last thing at night as sometimes one would hide and often found an extra one with a tail!!   Her name was Whimsey and we had her for 16 years.   She would also help out in the boarding kennel if a dog would not come in when I called it.   She knew if the dog hated cats and would parade to and fro in front of the gate until the dog charged her.   She was a wonderful cat and all of my dogs respected her because she showed no fear.   We took another black and white cat from a friend who had developed allergies.   Amos was 14 when we took him and he hated all dogs except Sheepies.   We were lucky enough to have 4 wonderful years with him.   The cat we have now is Mr. Kramer Kat and we found him as a kitten half dead, too young to hunt, at the back of our kennels.   We started to feed him etc. and after a couple of weeks I could actually pet him.   My vet was wonderful and helped out with neutering, deworming etc. to make him adoptable but after 2 years when nobody wanted him he is MINE and now about 6 years old.   Nobody would have enough money to get him off me now and once someone offered me $1,000.00 for my Whimsey Cat and I just grabbed hold of her and hugged her and wouldn't let her out for a few days in case they tried to steal her.

I am an OES person myself although I only have 2 now plus a cat that thinks he's a dog that we rescued as a baby, but they are such a unique breed, aren't they?

Anyway, I am a dog person really but there is usually a rescue cat somewhere around.

This has to be one of the most delightful, light hearted stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading.   I am so thoroughly enjoying it:  please keep the chapters coming.

I have passed your address on to all my doggy friends.

Thank you so much for the work you are putting in to this.

Margaret
